Yesterday morning I woke up to a Runners World article on Twitter saying if I could run 3 miles, I could train for a half marathon. I thought clearly this was a sign, because it was literally the first post I saw when I woke up.
I’ve only been running since the end of July, but in that time span, I have learned more about myself than I ever thought I could. I have lost 20 (!!!) pounds, completed a 5k, & have chosen to lead a healthier, more fit life. I never knew my body could do half the things I’ve been making it do. As a woman I feel more confident & all around happier. I smile so much more now & feel I’m mostly in a great mood.
So folks, I’m gonna do it. I’m gonna train for a half marathon. I want to thank in advance the trainers & other trainees that are going to help me get through this winter & conquer my goal. I am so thrilled to have become a part of this running family.
