I’m Ciara. I live in Pittsburgh, PA (City of Champions!), I’m 27, I work full time & go to school part time (finishing at community college, then on to a wellness + fitness degree @ Cal U of PA), & I’m a lover of all things motivational & inspirational. Also throw in a good show on Netflix to binge watch & that’s basically me in a nutshell! I’m a pace mentor for Pro Bike + Run: the group that helped me change my life 2 years ago.
My first post was about how I decided to train for a half marathon. I had run one 5k a month prior to that & I had just joined Pro Bike + Run (back then Elite Runners & Walkers). In the beginning, my blog was called 0.0 to 13.1. I solely was looking for my blog to help keep me accountable during my training.. and I also wanted to share my journey with the few people I figured would read.
Fast forward to today. I have run a total of 4 half marathons & I have recapped 3 on here (I did not recap my first in Chicago) & I have written about countless others! I just recently started blogging about my personal life (I hope you guys like that part!) & I’m excited to write more for you all. I think I’ve found a groove that I enjoy – posting 3x a week on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays.
My blog is now called Eat. Run. Love. & I think it perfectly encompasses me. Happy 2 years eatrunloveciara.com – I hope I’ll be around & writing for you guys for a very long time!
I’m taking the rest of the week off from blogging to spend the holiday with my friends & family so I’ll be back on Monday with a big long weekend recap! I hope everyone has a blessed Thanksgiving with everyone they love & remember – there is always something to be thankful for.
