Week 5 was such a success! Felt great the entire week.
Sunday – I met Jen, Joanna & Jamie out at Heinz Lofts for a 5 mile run on the trail. It wasn’t as cold as Saturday, but it was nice to run with some new friends!
Monday – I hit up my weekly EFX class & got a great workout. I LOVE going to FASTER so much!
Tuesday + Wednesday I had class.
Thursday – I had the day off. It was snowing for a good bit of the morning so I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to run. I headed out to Pro Bike + Run & had Coach JD fit me for some new shoes. I bought another pair of the New Balance 1080s (LOVE THIS SHOE!). I’ll be back in a couple weeks to pick up either the Mizuno Waveriders or the Asics Dynaflight. Once I was done running around, I got home & talked myself into going for a quick run. It turned out to be a beautiful day. I ran 2 miles around my neighborhood to test run my new shoes.
Friday – Rest day!
Saturday – I spent Saturday morning with my usual PBR group. It was 15 degrees at the start! It turned out to be a great run though. I was the only mentor with my little group & I didn’t get anyone lost! And I apparently did great with pacing, so I’m proud of myself! 8 miles total for the morning + it felt good! I was so cold, I immediately raced home & the first thing I did was hop in the hot shower. Then I climbed on the couch with a cup of coffee & binge watched the Amazing Race. I’m currently addicted to binge watching that show! So good!
I’m hoping that next week is just as good as this one! Although I’m totally dreading that Sunday is a run day, right after my long run.. It’s unfortunate that my schedule is the way it is this semester but that’s alright – it’ll only last til May then I’m free!
